Helping solve single use plastic waste pollution
The Plastic Solution removes single use plastic containers from your commercial cleaning chemical supply chain. We want to change how we design, use, and reuse plastics. We cannot simply recycle or reduce our way out of the plastic pollution crisis.
We distribute UK manufactured, environmental Ecolabel licensed cleaning products that deliver significant ‘cost in use’ savings across all cleaning product applications.

What is the Circular Economy?
A circular economy challenges the current – Take, Make, Waste – linear system of production and consumption.
The Ellen MacArthur Foundation states that
‘The circular economy considers every stage of a product’s journey – before and after it reaches the customer.’
It aims to transform our throwaway economy into one where waste is eliminated, resources are circulated, and nature is regenerated. Creating and contributing to a circular economy is vital to stop plastic pollution.

Why does it matter?
Every piece of plastic that’s ever been created still exists in our world!
We must change how we design, use, and reuse plastics. We cannot simply recycle or reduce our way out of the plastic pollution crisis.
Tonnes plastic waste per year
The world produces 381 million tonnes in plastic waste a year and set to double by 2034. 50% is single-use plastic & only 9% has ever been recycled.

Threatening health & nature
The growing rate of plastic production is contributing to waste and pollution issues, it’s impacting our health, and it’s threatening our oceans and wildlife.
%
Of global greenhouse gas emissions
Plastics account for 3.8% of current global GHG emissions. That’s almost double the emissions of the aviation sector. By 2050 forecasts suggest this will increase to 15%.

1 garbage truck a minute
8 million tonnes of plastic pollution enter our oceans each year – that is equivalent to dumping 1 garbage truck per minute into the ocean.
4 garbage trucks a minute
Current forecasts suggest by 2050 this will increase to 4 per minute by 2050 when there will be more plastic in our oceans than fish.
